A New Year brings many "New Changes" for My Old Crow Primitives! I have been asked to join a very talented group of artists from TDIPT....To Dwell in Primitive Thymes. I am so very excited to join this group of talented artists. I have admired their works, and love their site. I promise to bring my very best to offer!! I will be updating on the 15th of each month. Please take time to visit, enjoy a cup of your favorite brew and enjoy the lovely offerings from some very talented artists. Sneak peak of my offerings in photo :)
I have also been asked to join a brand new primitive group. The premier of this wonderful site will be on January 20. It looks to be a lovely site, I am very excited to be a part of. I have seen some of the lovely pieces that will be offered, you will not be dissapointed!! I will post more about the grand opening later, and share with you the name for this awesome site. I just recently took my first rug hooking class! It was so much fun, I think I am "hooked". So fun to find such a relaxing new adventure! Our sweet teacher invited us to a wonderful show, featuring some of the best hookers in the Pacific Northwest. We had such a fantastic time. Saw some of the most beautiful rugs! The best part was visiting with the "hookers" they all shared very helpful tips...I was totally in awe of the workmanship these artists shared with us. They had vendors too, selling their wares and supplies......our bags were full to the brim!! Such lovely wools, patterns, hooks and handmades!! I can't remember when I have had such a good time, they also had a luncheon that was spectacular! Wonderful day shared with friends!!

Congratulations Pam!! You are the winner of my pumpkin pillow drawing!! My sweet husband picked the winner.......and it was Pam of basketsnprims!! We should have made a "u-tube" video of our goings on this evening!! My computer has a virus, so we had to "make-do" and use my husbands lap top and to take a picture we had to use the "ipad"....after a few trial and errors we found the correct buttons to push, picture was sent to my email address and here we go!!! Goodness why does this always happen when you need to post something!! Most of you are already tucked into bed and will not see this post until morning. I really appreciate all your lovely comments. Sneak Peek....Simply Primitives....I am still here :) Fall Harvest Give-Away!!

I have been away from blogging for such a long time......do you think I still remember how to do it?? Well, I have a large cup of coffee.......let's see how it goes!!! :) We have been very busy at the Holland house....remodeling 5 rooms. After 21 years, it was well over-due!! I will have pictures in my next post! We are so very happy with everything, did not realize how much work would be required!! Now, if I could just remember what box I put where??

I have also been very busy making my Autumn goodies!! I will have a few goodies on the 15th at Simply Primitives. I have also items on The Prim Nest. Grab a cup of your favorite brew and sit a spell.......you might find a little "something".......for you Fall Decorating!!

Mr Snowman has found new friends, I am an avid snowman collector and was I ever so lucky to have won Mr Snowman from Lori. I think he is very happy snuggled in with my snowmen!! My Blog Giveaway from Baskets N Prims

My wonderful box arrived this weekend!!! Thank you so very much Pam!!! Such a box indeed!!! Filled with the most amazing goodies!! I hope I can list them all in one posting!!! Front and center the most amazing make do "Chickweed" , just love it....I see we both love Pineberry Lane!! Pam he is wonderful and you did such an amazing perfect job on him!! A wooden spool, vintage ticking, lovely sweet annie,dryed yarrow, and some dryed cornstalks. Pam's beeswax goodies are so wonderful, she has included a pumpkin, six corn and a wonderful beeskep. She does such beautiful cross stitching, a simply perfect little Hallow's Eve pillow and a tiny little bowl filler pumpkin and crow pillow. You can't see it in the picture, but she also included a blackened beeswax battery candle, that is sitting on my cabinet right next to my Mr Pumpkinseeds!! Now for the piece that they all were safely tucked into and so beautifully wrapped......the most beautiful handmade basket!!! Now I don't know if you girls know I am a basket collector, and I have been drooling over Pam's baskets for a long time!!! She sent a 16 inch cheese basket, and it is the most beautiful handmade basket!!! Wonderful patina, I am truely honored to own one of Pam's lovely creations!! Each and every piece she sent was primitively wonderful and I love them all!! I am one lucky Grandma!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and thank you to your Dear Grandson's Liam and Koko for choosing me!! Give them a big hug and kisses from me Pam!!! Today I will be decorating my home with your wonderful amazing handmades!!

Simply Primitives July 15th

Here is just a quick little sample of the items I will be posting on Simply Primitives on July 15th. To all my blogger buddies, you get to see all my goodies a few days before they are posted! I have been wanting to make a primitive doll for awhile now....so Miss Emily was created!! She had to have a best friend too, welcome Miss Millie!! I have also used one of those lucky primitive finds and made a crow make do, by a pattern from Chris from Walnut Ridge Primitives. Thank you Chris your patterns are wonderful! Also, I was doing the "happy dance" when Schneeman Folkart decided to make patterns!! So here is my latest creation Little Chair Cat......I have seen these in many antique shops, and was just thrilled to be able to make my own!! I hope this finds you enjoying a tall glass of iced tea and staying cool!! We have finally reached the "hot" stage here in the Pacific Northwest...it is warm, but I will never complain!! We had our fill of cold grey rainy days here for awhile. I have been busy "nursing" my poor hanging plants, my green thumb has been tested this year!! Lets just hope we have some blue sky here for awhile, it is truely lovely!!

Remembering the time
when the babies were her own,

Lots of bedtime stories,
skinned knees, and tears to dry,
Teddy bears, toy trucks and dolls
and kites up in the sky.

First days of school, first loves, first cars,
the proms, the wedding days,
Sand castles and snowball fights
and teaching them to pray.

Now, as she holds her grandchild
and gives thanks unto the Lord,
She knows to be a grandma

Craven Farm Tailgate, Snohomish Washington

Had a wonderful time at Craven's Farm Tailgate in Snohomish Washington. Here are just a few of the goodies I found. A wonderful printer's tray, lined with burlap. Pair of sock stretchers...so adorable! Hog scrapers, a sweet little wooden spool, vintage toy rake,a precious tiny whisk broom and a tiny little tin funnel.Purfect finds for my primitive makedo's and pinkeeps!! After the tailgate we shopped in downtown Snohomish. A wonderful shopping destination! My "primitives" sign came from one of my favorite shops,...The Speckled Hen. What a great day!! The sun was shinning, great antiquing, shopping,and visiting with dear friends,.. couldn't ask for more fun!! To top it off we stopped at our local farm stand and purchased a flat of wonderful sweet strawberries, strawberry shortcake sounds pretty yummy right now!!

Happy Mother's Day!! I hope you have a special day, filled with family and cherished blessings!! We started our Mother's Day with my son Stephen graduating from Pharmacy school at Washington State University in Spokane Wa. He is following in his brother's footsteps, two pharmacists and a cosmotologist.....what more could a proud Mama ask for? After graduation we took a little road trip to one of my favorite places......The Buggy Barn Quilt shop. I had a wonderful time, while Dad and Stephen played with their new i Pad......I purchased some wonderful fabrics and had a lovely visit with the ladies. Their little barn is filled to the top with beautiful quilts, fabrics, fantastic projects and wonderful patterns. I hope to join in the fun in August to take Maggie Bonanomi's class at their annual quilt show. So exciting!!

Tomorrow I plan on working with my roses and planting my containers with flowers. It should be a lovely day, we finally have some sunshine. I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day!

My Fabric Swap arrived!! Gosh my head is just spinning.......Mare you sent me so many wonderful fabrics, trims, vintage buttons, and to top it off, wonderful wool from your own sheep!! I am so excited to take part in this wonderful swap......Mother's Day is perfect!! I hope I can make something you will love with this wonderful collection you sent me!! I have been very busy sewing, working at the Saltbox and watching my sweet little Grandson.....by far the most precious time I have ever spent!! I now know how wonderful it is to be a Grandma!! Well, time to get back to my sewing room.......bunnies are waiting!!

Happy Holidays!! I have been very busy "trying" to take decent photos of my new items. Gosh, it has been quite the day!! First my camera card decided not to work, then the camera ohhhh and did I mention we are having a terrible storm and the lights are flickering as we speak!! Yikes if and when I get these goodies posted to my sites.....it will be short of a miracle. I always think, gosh, that should take a few minutes.......well, I have been at this for a good 6 hours!! If only I could take a decent photo!! Might have to invest in a tri pod and a better camera....to do list already started for 2010!!
