Rug Hooking

I just recently took my first rug hooking class! It was so much fun, I think I am "hooked". So fun to find such a relaxing new adventure! Our sweet teacher invited us to a wonderful show, featuring some of the best hookers in the Pacific Northwest. We had such a fantastic time. Saw some of the most beautiful rugs! The best part was visiting with the "hookers"  they all shared very helpful tips...I was totally in awe of the workmanship these artists shared with us. They had vendors too, selling their wares and supplies......our bags were full to the brim!! Such lovely wools, patterns, hooks and handmades!! I can't remember when I have had such a good time, they also had a luncheon that was spectacular! Wonderful day shared with friends!!

October 15 is just hours away!! We all have been very busy at Simply Primitives and would love for you to stop by and take a peek at our wares. Thank you again for all your kind comments on my recent give away, so sorry for those of you who have emailed me and cannot leave comments on my blog. Hopefully that will be fixed soon......love to hear from you all!! :) My computer is now back home and working just perfectly!! I hope to post my remodeling pictures soon and I have recently taken my first rug hooking class and I am "HOOKED"  I just love it!! I have pictures to share of my first rug hooking show, I had oodles of fun, such lovely rugs were on display!! So wonderful to talk to such talented artists!! I am almost finished with my first small rug. It is such relaxing fun!! Hope this finds you and yours enjoying a lovely crisp Autumn Day!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! Pam of Basketsnprims

Congratulations Pam!! You are the winner of my pumpkin pillow drawing!! My sweet husband picked the winner.......and it was Pam of basketsnprims!! We should have made a "u-tube" video of our goings on this evening!! My computer has a virus, so we had to "make-do" and use my husbands lap top and to take a picture we had to use the "ipad"....after a few trial and errors we found the correct buttons to push, picture was sent to my email address and here we go!!! Goodness why does this always happen when you need to post something!! Most of you are already tucked into bed and will not see this post until morning. I really appreciate all your lovely comments. Thank you all for following my blog, I hope to post more pictures of our remodeling.......my computer is going to the "computer doctor" tomorrow and hopefully I will be back to my regular way of posting!! Sneak Peek....Simply Primitives....I am still here :) Fall Harvest Give-Away!!

I have been away from blogging for such a long time......do you think I still remember how to do it?? Well, I have a large cup of coffee.......let's see how it goes!!! :) We have been very busy at the Holland house....remodeling 5 rooms. After 21 years, it was well over-due!! I will have pictures in my next post! We are so very happy with everything, did not realize how much work would be required!! Now, if I could just remember what box I put where??

I have also been very busy making my Autumn goodies!! I will have a few goodies on the 15th at Simply Primitives. I have also items on The Prim Nest. Grab a cup of your favorite brew and sit a spell.......you might find a little "something".......for you Fall Decorating!!

Simply Primitives Update for April 15th

I hope this finds you enjoying a beautiful sunny day of spring!! We have showers here in the Pacific Northwest, if April showers bring May flowers...........we should have oodles of flowers this year! It has just been chilly and rainy here for so long.......I am ready for blue sky and that warm ball they call the "Sun". :)

My Give Away from HomeSpunPrims

My Blog Give Away from HomeSpunPrims came!!! I carefully unwrapped the sweetest snowman ever!! He is just precious!!! Mr Snowman has found new friends, I am an avid snowman collector and was I ever so lucky to have won Mr Snowman from Lori. I think he is very happy snuggled in with my snowmen!! He proudly sits front and center!! Thank you Lori for offering such a wonderful piece of artwork!! He is primitively wonderful and I am so very happy to have won!! Thank you for your lovely blog, it has been an inspiration to me for a long time, I love the pictures you share of your home and your handmades!!

I hope this finds you all enjoying a Wonderful Holiday Season. Houses all decorated, trees up and lit, and sipping a warm cup of cider!! Such a busy time of the year!! I have been busy decorating, crafting, and most of all enjoying my wonderful family! My Dear Sweet Husband had a very successful surgery, and is doing quite well.
